Capturing all the beauty and mystery of the tree of life at the centre of many cultures around the world, these hand crafted pieces of indigenous wall art are created by the extraordinary talents of Haitian artists.
 
This particular piece was crafted by Omiscar Louis Juste in the village of Croix-des-Bouquets where every day the artist’s hammers create a mesmerising music. Inspired by the richness of Haitian culture, nature and the island’s magical spirit, each metal sculpture begins as a pattern traced onto recycled oil drums, then are cut and decorated with chisels, and smoothed and shaped with hammers.
 
Each tree is finished by hand and coated with a weather-resistant varnish for display either indoors and out.
