The perfect accent for any tropical, ethnic or exotic interior, these handmade one-of-a-kind Kantha stitch throws are made with 100% cotton, natural dyes and have entirely unique patterns and colourways on each side.

Kantha is a centuries-old tradition of stitching patchwork cloth from rags, that evolved from the thrift of rural women in the Bengali region. It is one of the oldest forms of embroidery originating from India, dating back to the pre-Vedic age (prior to 1500 BCE). Today ‘Kantha’ refers to both the style of running stitch, as well as the finished cloth.

Each reversible coverlet range in size, design and colour, so unlike other shops we have decided to list each as a separate item so you can see exactly the pattern you are ordering.
